From tap water to bottled water, water has to pay the highest price here, revealed in the report

The water price index of the surveying company has compared the price of tap water and water available in Bolat in 30 cities of America and 120 cities of the world. These cities were included in the survey based on their popularity as a tourist destination.  

Oslo: The most expensive water in the world is found in Oslo, the capital of Norway. In a recent survey, it has been revealed that the price of one bottle of water in Oslo is much higher than other cities. According to a Bloomberg report, according to a survey conducted by search engine Holidu in 120 cities, the price of water bottle in Oslo is three times higher than the rest of the cities. It is followed by Tel Aviv, New York, Stockholm and Helsinki.

The survey report released on Thursday by Holidu states that when it comes to buying a 16.9-ounce (500 ml) bottle of water, the highest price is to be paid in Oslo. The company's Water Price Index compares the price of tap water and water in Bolat in 30 US and 120 cities of the world. These cities were included in the survey based on their popularity as a tourist destination. Not only bottled water in Oslo, Tap Water means that the water provided by the administration is also much more expensive than others.

Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco and San Diego are among the 20 most expensive cities in the world after Oslo in terms of tap water. According to the report, tap water in Oslo is 212% costlier than other countries included in the survey and bottled water rates are also 195% higher. Johannes Siebers, CEO and co-founder of Holidu, said, 'The survey figures are very shocking. It is surprising to see that people have to pay so much money for the water which we have been wasting like this till now.

Bottled-water consumption increases

The United Nations said in a report last year that climate change is affecting the availability, quality and quantity of water necessary for basic human needs. Holidu has analyzed the prices and quality of its index tap and water bottoms. In this survey, the prices of water bottles of different companies were found in different cities. Sibers said that the consumption of bottled water has increased considerably in the last decade and there is no possibility of that. According to an estimate, the global market for bottled water will reach $ 307.6 billion by 2025.

Such is the situation on water quality

Talking about water quality, Boston tops the American cities in this matter. While it ranks 24th among the countries included in the survey. After this, Massachusetts then comes to Seattle and Portland. Athens, Montreal and Rome have been found to have significantly better water quality, but Innsbruck and Austria remain at the top. The water quality score in Athens stood at 94.2 out of 100, while the price of tap water is 34.5% lower than the average here. The water quality was found to be the worst in Lagos, Nigeria, Karachi in Pakistan and Senegal's Dakar. Talking about America, water quality is very poor in New Orleans, Phoenix and Los Angeles.
